During a commercial break, they’re showing The Masters leaderboard with 5 players tied at -3 under, one being Gary Woodland and the announcer makes the comment, “Woodland is going to FALL OFF that top space as he’s trying to hole that lengthy putt on 18 to save par.” Strange comment by Nantz. And, of course, Woodland made the 8-10’ putt on 18 to stay tied for 1st! Probably should turn the sound off. :-)
I can't believe Eldrick won today...and the Tour Championship...I thought he was TOAST considering he was basically bed ridden for 18 months and couldn't do too much.
So does this mean the next wave of idiots start taking up golf making 5 hr rds into 6 hrs...UGH!
I am thinking of having elective back surgery in hopes it will improve my game. This could be a boon for surgeons everywhere! Give me the Tiger 3-vertebrae special please.

boomslang: Ed, Derrick may have coined it. Just like somebody coined sensistraw inserts.
Aug 18, 2019 7:46:15 GMT -7
Galgolfer: I called it Strawsicore. LOL.
Aug 18, 2019 8:50:22 GMT -7
nrjyzr: That's the name I remember. Strawsicore

nrjyzr: As for the Toaster of Death, there was even a haiku about it. Don't remember the haiku, unfortunately

mr22putt: I use to own the Toaster in a Stick after hitting a playing partner's driver...1st used club I bought off the internet....$195?? in 2000.

hardpan: I used "toaster on a stick" and Strawsicore in the last week talking to customers, weird

hax: I had a Ping WRX Toaster on a stick...which was an AJ Tech Metal X shaft. I hit some of the longest drives of my life with that club.

hax: I never cared for the sensicore shafts...the just felt dead.

boomslang: Golf equipment has changed a lot. I haven't followed the trend. Still playing my Ping G2 driver and blades. LOL

Galgolfer: I agree with you Hax that Sensicore (or any vibration dampening) changes the way a club feels but if you've got pain they can really help.

bumblebees: I have Greg's Toaster on a stick. I bought it from him at Bethpage if I recall correctly. At the same time he 'leant' me the matching 3 wood which I still have as he died a couple of weeks later. If I ever make it out to another G tourney, I'll bring them.
