So, high hits kill spin. In to out with closed face kills spin. Combine that with not releasing the clubhead in time, you've got a perfect storm for low spin. This is pretty similar to me, but it sounds like you are more extreme.

Update time: I reshafted with a high launch shaft (Proforce V2 HL, got it on sale), and I hate it! I can feel the shaft tip flexing at transition, and it's causing me to alter my natural tempo. It feels a bit like a whippy shaft, and I have been inconsistent as hell with it. On good strikes I don't think I'm seeing any real improvement, but I'm so inconsistent that it's hard to say. My next attempt will be to put an Aldila NVS R flex in the head. I have this shaft in my fairway woods, albeit in stiff, and I like it. I'm going to see exactly where it frequencies out before installing, but I might tip it a little.
nrjyzr: Black Toaster of Death. I remember posting a pic of one next to my KZG MP driver, at a whopping 230cc. Then the Integra 400 happened...

jaime59: I went through the Bertha progressions: Big Bertha, Great Big Bertha, Biggest Big Bertha which was a massive 290 cc iirc. Also had Taylor Made Ti in there. Eventually I ended up with the Biggest Big Bang, or whatever it was called at 525cc.

nrjyzr: Been going back a bit lately, instead of embracing the new stuff. Put my Fast12LS driver back in the bag, it's outperforming everything else. Also have played my R9 SuperDeep, may take it out again. And bought a set of MP37s this past week.

nrjyzr: Had always regretted unloaded the MP37s I won here....

boomslang: Ed, never owned a Titleist club that cost me more than $4. LOL Got a wedge and a fairway wood for $4 each from different garage sales. Less than 5 years old. Got one off the golf pro at the resort course here(dickered his wife down to $12 for 3 wedges.

boomslang: The fairway wood was $2 off my doctor at her garage sale. I said I didn't need it. She said, for $2, you can throw it way. She made a good point.
