Last years Shot Show, I won a soon to be released Remington 700 PCR. Got it chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor. Got it last fall, tossed a scope that I had laying around and went out to a very nice desert range and rang steel at 1000 yards for the first time ever. Now, I'm bit. Definitely want to upgrade the scope and work with different ammo to see how far I can hit the steel. There's a couple of places nearby that offer up to a mile and a half. If I can hit that, it's testimony to the rifle's performance because I suck! LOL!
6.5 Creedmoor is definitely the hot round right now. I've been hearing of others that have started to make the rounds, but I think the 6.5 is here for a good while. Barrel life varies as I've heard but I don't have any real world data to support or dispute it.
golfmonkey: First login. I learned alot on the GEA in the last 20 years and its good to see that the forum has survived. Also great to see that many of the great beasts that led the herd have survived the migration.
